Photograph was edited for publication purposes; Title supplied by cataloger. Seen here is James E. Reinhardt, arrested for the kidnapping of Mrs. Betty Utterback's 2-year-old daughter. Utterback's daughter was kidnapped by Reinhardt when Utterback agreed to let him take her daughter to the grocery store. The two had met a week before on a blind date. He returned fifteen minutes later without the toddler and began to demand money from Utterback. The two proceeded to the bank where a teller sensed something was wrong and called authorities who quickly apprehended Reinhardt. Utterback's daughter was found at the Studio Motel being held by Reinhardt's accomplice, Peggy Newton.
