Lindbergh stands under wing of his new plane in San Diego on day he flew eastward May 10, 1927, for historic New York to Paris flight 10 days later. From right are A. J. Edwards, sales manager of Ryan Airplane Co., Donald Hall. engineer on pro9ject; Lindbergh, George Hammond; O. R. McNeal, and pouring in fuel, H. J. van der Linde.
