Annotation translation: "A true witness to the Gospel. For several years he has been working in an isolated part of lower Bakobngwang. His work has been blessed - he has put a lot of enthusiasm into it and experienced many difficulties. Previously he had shown his worth working in the Minge valley. Before the war he had attended school and become a church member. Printed in HB [Heidenbote] 1939/1." Annotation: "Ein treuer Zeuge des Evangeliums. Seit einigen Jahren arbeitet er mit grossem Eifer unter viel Schwierigkeiten in einer sehr abgelegenen Gegend des unteren Bakobngwang im Segen, nachdem er sich schon vorher durch Jahre im Mingegau bewährt hatte. Er hat schon vor dem Krieg die Missionsschule besucht & gehörte zur Gemeinde." - "Cl. HB [Heidenbote] 1939 (1). Stamped: "Museum der Basler Mission, Basel, Missionsstrasse 21."
