Photograph was edited for publication purposes.
Photograph caption dated February 15, 1962 reads "Shotput, discus star." Photograph article partially reads, "...Monarchs will be paced by shotputter and discus thrower Lou Fasano, who is at Valley after all. Fasano has a best in the shot of 49 ft. 8 in. and in the discus of 154 ft. 11 in. He could be one of the best in junior college circles this year in these two events." Fasano is a member of the track and field team at Los Angeles Valley College in Van Nuys.
