Description
This is a photograph of a group of Maryknoll students sitting close together outdoors. " A happy group of students at the Maryknoll seminary for native priests for Fushun, Manchuria. Last year, twenty five of these boys were crowded into a room , twenty by twenty feet. This was possible only because they slept side by side on the 'k'ang, or Chinese 'oven-bed'. Such conditions are not healthful and the Fushun Maryknollers are eager to provide permanent quarters for their Chinese seminarians."
