Description
Chandelier in the auditorium of the Golden State Theatre, located at 3745 7th Street in Riverside. Golden State opened as the Loring Opera House on January 8, 1890, with seating put at around 1,000. In 1918, its name was changed to the Loring Theatre. In 1938 it became the Golden State Theatre. In 1973, it showed its last movies and in 1990, the building was destroyed by fire. Architects attributed to the theatre were A.C. Willard and James M. Wood.
