This Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument is located at 7570 McGroarty Terrace. Known as McGroarty Arts Center, which was managed by the Department of Recreation and Parks from 1953 until 1974, when management was transferred to the Department of Cultural Affairs, City of Los Angeles. Over twenty years later, McGroarty Arts Center was privatized and has since been operated by a non-profit organization in partnership with the Department of Cultural Affairs, City of Los Angeles. Photograph caption dated August 16, 1948 reads, "Strictly McGroarty territory. Mrs. Elsie Schultze, of Tujunga, and her son Eddie, 4, find themselves in McGroarty Park at the intersection of McGroarty Street and McGroarty Terrace. These name-sake locations are situated just down hill slope from great stone home of late poet and represent his wide popularity."; See images #00127660 through #00127666 for all photos in this series.
