Description
This is Michi Weglyn's response letter to Yukio Mochizuki's letter in item: csudh_moc_0074. She first informs him that doing an in-depth study of the "Peruvian Japanese experience" would require much more time than a nine-week independent study course. She suggests that Mochizuki could perhaps confine himself to the study of the Crystal City camp, with an emphasis on the Japanese Peruvians or do case studies of the several contacts he has made. She offers some more help and names of people to follow up on including Raymond W. Ickes in Berkeley. Lastly, she suggests some possible questions that could guide future study on the topic of Japanese Peruvians. Collection of notes, articles, correspondence, photographs, and term papers collected by Yukio Mochizuki, a student at CSU Dominguez Hills, while researching Japanese American incarceration and Japanese Peruvian internment during World War II.
