Photograph of a view of Sepulveda Boulevard looking south from Magnolia Boulevard after improvement, June 18, 1940. Sepulveda is at center and is a six-lane road with a dirt divider in the middle. The center lanes are dark in color, the middle lanes are light, and the outside lanes are a shade in between. Several small wooden houses can be seen near the side of the road at left, and a number of automobiles are visible on the newly paved street. In the distance, many trees are visible, and a mountain range runs across the background of the image. Compares to CHS-14494, which shows the same street before it was improved.
