Visible building signs including: "New England Hand Laundry," "California's Best Beer. Wieland's Extra Pale Lager," "Kennedy & Adair Employment Agency" (partially covering a "'Chicago ... Counter" sign), "Advance Machine Co.," and "Blake, Moffitt & Towne."
Title devised by cataloger. Date approximated by cataloger according to the only year the employment agency of James J. Kennedy and Samuel Adair appears in Los Angeles City directories. The paper warehouse in the distance at right, "Blake, Moffitt & Towne," was located on Los Angeles Street near 3rd Street.
