Description
Original photo mounted on red board with corner mounts. The New Almaden baseball team originally used the names "cinnabars" but had dropped it by 1910, when this photo was taken. On back of photo: "New Almaden baseball team 1910. This team dropped the name used by the first two teams. Standing: Arthur Moreno; Albert Pascore; Jeff Tatham; Al Rodriguez; Chris Estrada. Seated: R. Torres; Cruz Mercado; Jim Prout; A. Lopez. New Almaden Quicksilver Mines, Calif." On typed label attached to board, underneath mounted photo: "New Almaden 1910. The name was changed and this team, like the first, had only nine playing members. Standing: Arthur Moreno-Albert Pascoe-Jeff Tatham-Al Rodriguez-Chris Estrada. Seated-R. Torres-Cruz Mercado-Jim Prout-A. Lopez."
