Description
Taken on May 3, 1947 these pictures are of a crowded Riverside Pool, located on 3640 Riverside Boulevard. Swimmers and sunbathers lounge and circulate in the area in front of the refreshment center while others take advantage of the picnic tables and chairs on the grassy space adjacent to the fenced parking lot. By 1949 the recreation facility caught the wave of modern commercial terminology and became the Land Park Plunge while retaining the same features that made it popular.
