Description
Taken from a walkway in Capitol Park, this 1927 photograph provides a view of the east side of the California State Capitol building.
The no Capitol Building's no longer extant apse is visible. The apse housed the State Supreme Court and the State Library until 1928 when the State Controller's Office moved in to occupy the space. The state demolished the apse in 1949 as part of the construction of the East Annex.
