Description
The interior of "The Plunge", the bathhouse at The Pike amusement park in Long Beach. Spectators in the balcony watch the bathers in the pool below. A swimmer heads down the slide, face first, into the water. The sign behind the slide warns of shallow water. The sign on the far left warns of deep water and cautions beginners not to cross the line.; When the Pacific Electric line to Long Beach was built, the Long Beach Bath House and Amusement Company built this bath house on the beach near the end of the street car line.
