Description
De Forest wireless station, U. S. Navy, San Juan, P. R., plus copy. On Back: "The U. S. Navy (de Forest) station located near the city of San Juan, Porto Rico call letter S. A. ( Now NAV) This station's power was 35 KW, 60 cycles. The three towers were 210 feet high, set triangular, 300 feet apart, the antenna had three fans of 15 wires each, 300 feet long, the ground plate was copper laid in an old moat, used in the Spanish time in fortification, the first photo shows the station power house. 1904"
