Title supplied by cataloger. Exterior view of the First Congregational Church of Los Angeles, located at 540 S. Commonwealth Ave. It appears that the finials, damaged by the 1994 earthquake, are being re-positioned; a large crane can be seen placing one of the finials back on its stand. A couple of lanes have been blocked to traffic while this task is underway. The church, historic cultural monument #706, was designed by architects Allison and Allison and built from 1930-1931. Photograph dated August 19, 2005.
