Three uniformed policemen and another man, presumably a detective, stand behind a still that consists of barrels, metal tanks, and a large glass jug. One of the policemen tilts the glass jug toward another who holds an instrument and a glass tube. A large cloth hangs in the left background, while the wall in the right background is made from planks.
