Title transcribed from verso. Back of photo has label identifying the image as part of the series "Scene in Geronimo's Camp, The Apache Outlaw and Murderer." This photograph is titled: "No. 184 - Scouts Under Lt. Maus." Handwriting on back of photo says: "This is the party that had the encounter with the Mexican troops in the Sierra Madre in which Captain Emmet Crawford was killed."
