Description
In 1978, Frank McCormack created Sacramento Sports Association with developer and long time friend Gregg Lukenbill as a way to campaign for Kansas City to sell the Kings to Sacramento. When the sale was finalized, an arena was approved to be built in North Natomas. This 1985 photograph captures the early stages of construction.
