Description
Photograph of a man nailing down a crate with a nailing machine, ca.1925. The man stands at center with the sleeves of his lightly-colored shirt rolled up and hi right foot on a pedal of the automatic nailing machine just in front of him. A row of crates filled with oranges move on a conveyer belt below the nailing machine as the man holds a wooden top steady for it to be nailed onto a crate. A table stands on the left behind the conveyer belt with a small stack of rectangular sheets of wood. More employees can be seen in the back of the brick plant on the right.
