Description
Chart reads: "Los Angeles County 1936 Population on Relief". Proportional figures on the left represent the total L.A. County population broken out into three groups: Whites (1,950,879), Mexicans (167,024), and Negroes (46,485). Proportional figures on the right represent the amount of relief received by each group: Whites (445,000), Mexicans (51,315) and Negroes (10,300). The figures representing African Americans are barely discernable. Chart dated: October 1936.
