Photograph caption dated August 31, 1961 reads, "Old Friends - Former playmates of Laurie Hawkins sign card to send to their bed-ridden friend. The Heggen children (from left), Susan, 4; Judy, 3, and Jimmy, 5, 17632 Bessemer St., Encino, display the card which will be sent to their old friend who now lives in an Inglewood trailer court. The Encino children raised money for a gift for Laurie by selling cookies and cold drinks."
