Description
View of the new $900,000 Venice Fishing Pier, soon to be dedicated. The pier is 1310 feet long and has twelve individual fishing stations on alternate sides with a 120-foot-diameter terminal fishing platform at the outer and will provide ample room for hundreds of fishing enthusiasts. It was financed with matching funds from the California State Wildlife Conservation Board and the Los Angeles City Recreation and Parks Department and was designed specifically to meet the needs of sports fishermen.
