Description
That unforgettable October night ,Catherine Phillips was home alone. Her husband, Lloyd, was away fishing. The fire came and she found herself unable to leave her property. She was trapped. She sat in her car for hours with the air-conditioning on. Her son in Tennessee called a friend--a deputy sheriff--and asked him if he would go check on his mother. The deputy pulled up, saw her car and expected the worst.--Chris Smith, introduction.
