Photograph caption dated January 9, 1989 reads, "Los Angeles County lifeguards and members of the County Natural History Museum prepare 1 of 2 beached dolphins to be helped back to sea. The group was successful and both animals swam off on their own." This scene was captured during a rescue in Hermosa Beach.
