Description: The Sacramento Chamber of Commerce published this elaborate brochure promoting a massive Gold Rush extravaganza - "Never before in history has such a sensational event been arranged." Sacramento couldn't wait for the 75th anniversary of '49, but launched a citywide history craze that climaxed May 23-28, 1922. Illustrations provide a glimpse back to the romanticized Gold Rush as it was remembered in the 1920s.
