Description
David Kessler discusses the book he co-wrote with Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, “On Grief and Grieving.” He begins by talking about his time working with Kübler-Ross before her death and applies her 5 stages of grief in the book. He talks about the child-parent relationship and how a death is difficult in the family. Kessler discusses the emotional and psychological effects of not being able to grieve. He describes several different ways to grieve including writing a letter to a deceased loved one, not holding tears in, and keeping some of the person’s old things. He ends the interview by talking about other books he’s written and that he is a counselor for dying people and their families.
