Description
A child named Helen whispering into the ear of Dr Joan Drake. Dr Drake served with the Wesleyan Women's Association from 1908 to 1935 in South India. The photographer, F. Colyer Sackett, served as a Wesleyan Methodist missionary in the Hyderabad district of India from 1901 to 1945. Mrs Sackett wrote an article entitled "Helen and a Birthday" in which this picture is featured. It appeared in the periodical entitled, Woman's Work on the Mission Field in 1916.
