Description: The photo caption in the Sacramento Bee published on December 1, 1971 states: "The gatekeeper's log house at Tahoe City beside the dam across the outlet of Lake Tahoe is now a registered California Historical Landmark because of efforts of the year-old North Lake Tahoe Historical Society. the society plans to convert the 62-year-old structure into a museum."
