Description
Supplement to WCCA instruction manual regarding the National Students Relocation Council. States that: "1. group gatherings of prospective students for the purpose of lectures, interviews, instructions, discussions, etc., by members of the National Students Relocation Council or the representative Japanese committee, will not be permitted;" "2. A Japanese committee of not more than seven members selected to assist the Students Relocation Council in circulating the approved questionnaire, may be assembled only for the purpose of instructions pertaining to the circulation of the questionnaires."
The War Relocation Authority (WRA), together with the Wartime Civil Control Administration (WCCA), the Civil Affairs Division (CAD) and the Office of the Commanding General (OFG) of the Western Defense Command (WDC) operated together to segregate and house some 110,000 men women and children from 1942 to 1945. The collection contains documents and photographs relating to the establishment and administrative workings of the (WDC), the (WRA) and the (WCCA) for the year 1942.
