Photograph of dilapidated structure and ruined alleyway with trash and debris on ground, Chinatown, 1939. At left, a large two-story building can be seen extending into the background. Along the base level, weathered boards and peeling paint can be seen along the walls. A large awning supported by several rods can be seen along the second level. Rows of shattered windows can also be seen along the second level. In the background at center, trash and debris decorate the dingy alleyway. Objects range from carpets and pieces of wood to boxes and tables. In the extreme background at center, a large double doorway can be seen along a high stone wall.
