Contents include a welcome from California State Treasurer Thomas W. Hayes to the participants and guests of the 1989 USYSA Far West Regionals, thoughts from Geneva McAlavey the Chairman of the California Youth Soccer Association about calls for change, a re-cap of the State Cup championship games for the U-16 and U-19 teams, an editorial by Herschel Walker recommending that parents give kids positive support, instructions for parents and children to learn about soccer side-by-side, a list of 1989 coaching courses, an article asking whether Youth Soccer is for the players or for the adults, information about Teams/USA which is a program that enhances the athlete through international competition and education, updates from the CYSA districts, a description of the new hobby of collecting soccer pins, a CYSA Calendar of Events, and an advertisement from Smokey Bear to "Kick-Out Wildfire!"
