Description
"Kyimbila 1935. Dorothea u. Hildegard Waldner." ("Kyimbila in 1935. Dorothea and Hildegard Waldner."). A small girl riding on a rocking horse. An older girl is playing with her. She wears a dress and white socks. They are presumably Missionary Waldner's daughters. In the background an African leaning against a fence is watching them. The place where the children are playing is surrounded by thatched houses.
Ernst Waldner (1898-?) was a missionary of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine and served in East Africa. He married Julie Friederike Ebinger.
