Description
Manual Arts high school began a two-day celebration of its twentieth anniversary. The event recalls memories of early school days when Manual's first "gym" class held forth, but not too strenously, as pictured. They called it calisthenics in that era when the girls wore dresses five yards around, with leg o' mutton sleeves. The less said about the boys' costumes the better, according to alumni. Photo dated: October 4, 1930.
