Connie Yu, of the Chinese Media Committee hosts Asian American music and poetry. Man on the Streets: Russell Low reports on Christmas events in Chinatown and North Beach. Bay Area Asian American Coalition against the War presents ‚Echoes of the Vietnam War‚. Pieces on the racialization, exploitation, and discrimination, and other struggles of Asian Americans. Following program is in another language (Cantonese? Yuen‚Äôs notes are written in Chinese.) FROM YUEN‚S NOTES: CBS Review of 1973: Skylab - its early troubles and data; Comet Kohoutek; Israeli war with Egypt - meat shortage; Ireland- 5th year in war; Chile - mob uprising and death of Allende; sports news. Note 1) all white panelists 2) the only non-white countries in Charles Johnson‚Äôs report are Japan and Chinese press and he is the only one (perhaps John Searl, the mediator, comes close to it) who calls the Arab oil policies ‚blackmail‚. Typical ‚China Watcher‚ -- in that he is a [self-proclaimed expert] and only sees Mao‚Äôs death coming!!! This is the final program.
