Alma Ave., East Los Angeles, ride back to jail after Van Nuys Municipal Judge George B. Ross ordered them held in lieu of $100,000 bail each. Their preliminary hearing on kidnaping [sic], armed robbery and escape charges was set for Oct. 13 in Van Nuys Municipal Court. Diaz is accused of freeing Velarde from Van Nuys jail after both allegedly held up a Food Giant Market in Panorama City."
