Photograph caption dated September 11, 1983 reads, "James Brolin and Anne Baxter take tea on the set of the new TV series 'Hotel,' which will be built on large ensemble casts rather than a few stars. The pilot was shot in San Francisco's Fairmont Hotel and a replica of its monumental lobby was built at the Burbank Studios. Baxter has committed herself to seven episodes and says the scripts are 'amazing.' 'It's basically a plaid between eight people,' she adds. Brolin figures the series will last at least five years. 'It's a perfectly endless setup,' he says."
