Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated February 17, 1962 partially reads, "'We went together for about two years and dated on and off for two more,' said Marlys, a sophomore at Valley College. 'I went to school with him from the fourth to the tenth grade. I could see that he wasn't satisfied in high school...He was always reading books and encyclopedias on travel.'" Pictured is 18-year-old Marlys McFarlane with a photograph of missing 19-year-old Robert F. Mann. Mann, missing since January 27, was an overseas Stanford sophomore at Stuttguart [sic], Germany, and had moved to West Berlin shortly before his disappearance.
