Photograph caption dated February 24, 1958 reads "Teenage victim of Newhall shooting George Rodriquez [sic], 13, right, of Los Angeles, gives details on gangland style kidnaping [sic] and shooting to sheriff's deputy C. W. Hatcher at Newhall station. Rodriquez's [sic] companion Gerald R. Deleo, 14, of Los Angeles, died in desolate Soledad Canyon, apparent victim of a revenge murder by theater usher, sheriff's deputies reported."
