Description
Terry Ellsworth, a collector of vintage toys and movie memorabilia, sits crossed-legged atop his bed, phone to his ear. The photo shows his room at the American Hotel; to the left of the room, against a wall, a shelf displays dozens of movies, and on the right of the photo, another shelf displays several antique toys. Ellsworth is a permanent resident of the American Hotel, located at 303 S. Hewitt Street, in the Loft District of Downtown. The Loft District is an area of old industrial and warehouse buildings, including artists' lofts, theatres, and a small number of businesses that cater to them. Photograph dated May 2000.
