Photograph article dated December 27, 1960 partially reads, "California's youngest licensed florist stands second to none when it comes to sensing a possible profit. That's how he got started in the flower business. 'When I was 16,' says Don Herzog, 'I was asked to make some corsages for a group for teachers retiring from Reseda High School because orchids were my hobby. 'I sold seven corsages for a dollar each and then made another. 'I took the eighth one to a floral shop and told the owner I was interested in buying one just like it. When he told me it would cost $7.50, my hobby ended and my business began.'"
