Description
Family album shows photo labeled as "California relatives" of John MacLean (Avalon Cemetery, 1860-1951). These relatives were pictured wading in the water in Avalon Bay, Santa Catalina Island. Background shows a few boats floating on the water with the Sugar Loaf Rock of Avalon Bay in the back.
John MacLean was the great grand-uncle of the photograph's donor, Bill MacGillivray. His great grandmother, Maggie MacLean, was from Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.
