Portrait of Harold Lloyd in Shriner costume at Greenacres.
In 1923, Lloyd bought land in Benedict Canyon. In 1925, began to build house and gardens; landscape architect was A.E. Hanson, architect was Sumner Spaulding. Completed in 1929.
Lloyd was active in Shriners organization, became Imperial Potentate of the Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine in 1949.
