Description
Three piece dress of a black silk broadcloth bodice, a skirt and petticoat. The bodice appears to be contemporary to late 19th century; high neck with pleated velveteen, full length sleeves decorated with vertical pleats and floral applique; front of bodice has ivory-colored satin insert covered with black lace and black velveteen ribbon in a criss-cross pattern; overlaps with hooks and eyes. The skirt and the petticoat are reproductions of modern construction made of synthetic taffeta.
