Photograph caption dated November 12, 1949 reads "World War I hero." The article partially reads "One of the most decorated soldiers of World War I polished the brass in the City Hall today and recalled memories of the war 31 years ago. He is Raymond J. Genicke, 2253 N. Niagara St., Burbank, who paused long enough from his duties as City Hall custodian yesterday amid the Armistice Day ceremonies to reminisce about a few of his exploits in the first world conflict."
