A view of the floor of the Baldwin Hills Reservoir in the final stages of construction. On the floor are inlet lines. The outlet tower is to the right. The bowl-shaped reservoir will form an 18-acre lake with a storage capacity of 293,000,000 gallons of water. The reservoir will provide added water storage as well as help maintain water pressure over the southwestern and southern areas of Los Angeles.
