Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated July 22, 1965 reads, "Rehearsing one of their new songs, the Kelly Sisters are given a helping hand by their father Hal Dickinson, who is a member of the Modernaires, a nationally known vocal quartet. The sisters, from left, are Paula, Julie and Martha." The article partially reads, "It all started some 30 years ago on KDKA, a Pittsburgh radio station. There was the vocal trio of Paula, Judy and Martha Kelly, known as the Kelly Sisters...The trio has since disbanded, and now Paula is the only sister still in show business. She is a member, along with her husband, Hal Dickinson, of the Modernaires, a vocal quintet of national renown. But that's not the end of the story. The Dickinsons, who now live in Tarzana, have three daughters...Ranging in age from 18 to 22, the sisters are on their way to a successful career in show business."
