Description
Photograph of a view of Fifth Street looking east to the intersection with Main Street, Los Angeles, 1900. An elaborate gate is visible along the sidewalk at left, framed by a topiary archway that grows from a hedgerow that runs the entire length of the gate's wrought-iron fence. The top of a house can just barely be seen over obscuring tree foliage. A group of pedestrians stands beneath a tree on the sidewalk at right. The road is unpaved.
