Buddy Rogers was an American actor and jazz musician. Photograph caption dated December 21, 1936 reads "Willie Tevis, San Francisco socialite and poloist, greeting Mary Pickford and Buddy Rogers at the beginning of the Buddy Rogers tournament which is now in progress at Riviera Country Club. Tevis pilots his own plane down to the games at Riviera each weekend he plays here."
