Description
Shown in circa 1900 is Sacramento's Federal Building and Post Office, positioned at the northeast corner of Seventh and K streets. Built in 1893/94, its construction was subsidized by 100,000 dollars in 1885. By the time construction was complete, the cost of the building came out to roughly 292,000 dollars.
